Autodesk Labs: Project Dalton

Project Dalton is a free* technology preview of a 1D flow analysis tool that allows designers and engineers to develop and analyze complex piping systems and distribution networks.
Project Dalton helps designers understand how these systems will perform when subjected to different operating parameters and routing options. Dalton currently accepts the industry standard PCF file format as the method to import and describe the piping system, and input can be imported from a variety of design tools supporting this format. Users are able to then set physical and operating parameters for the system and solve for a variety of results, including pressure, velocity, flow rate, mass flow rate, and Reynolds Number. Results are presented graphically and are available for export and post processing via text files. Project Dalton is designed to be an easy to use tool to help designers understand and tune the performance of complex piping networks.
